“Success does not come from from you doubting and fearing the work; it comes by believing and doing the work.” Michael J. Fite
Keep this in mind when you find yourself trying to figuring out how a few words can determine your level of success in anything that you do. I put this chart here to show you that when you listen to and follow the doubts and fears, your chances of success are low to none because you lack the confidence to follow the plan. When you start to believe you can and do what is necessary, your chances of success is greater because you are doing what it takes and not letting anything or anyone stop you from achieving your goals.
I remember when I was a kid how I had to go through this transformation of going from “I won’t” to “I did” in a matter of a year. When I was expelled for a year in kindergarten, I was not a good reader. My mother decided in her wisdom to sit me down with a The Tennessean newspaper and told me that I was going to read the entire first section. Being that I loved watching Woody Woodpecker and Bozo the Clown more than trying to read, I told her “I won’t” and proceeded to watching TV. That was when my transformation began thanks to my mother.
She made me turn off the TV and had me sit down daily and start reading. I was frustrated at points by saying that “I can’t” and “I don’t know how” to her. The more I worked at reading and recognizing the words, the more the I started to believe and said the words “I might” and “I can” with each passing day.
Then one day, it all clicked because I was reading the entire front section on my own! My mother had me read in front of my family and even the teachers that had expelled me. The were all impressed and shocked because they did not believe that I would be able to accomplished such a feat, but at that moment, I was able to say “I did it” and achieved success!
You are capable of achieving success in your life, but it comes down to what you believe you can and can’t do in life. It is a process for sure, but if you keep working at it and having confidence and faith in what you are doing, it will eventually pay off for you. Let’s remember that your chances of success will only increase when you transition from being a person of fear and doubt into a person of belief and action.
