Leaders Make Progress While Followers Stay Still

“Progress occurs when courageous, skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the better.” -Richard vWyk

Keep this in mind when you are trying to define progress in your life and determine if you are a leader or a follower. When you do not take advantage of the opportunities that are given to you to make changes, you will continue to remain stuck in your situation and even be upset when other people seem to pass you by. When you decide to be the leader that exists inside of you and take advantage of your opportunities to make changes, you will see how fast people will follow you and how quick things move around you due to the courage, fearlessness, and skill that you show to the world. Nelson Mandela and Mother Teresa were able to achieve progress by having the courage and skill as leaders to change things for the better, and you can see the positive impact they have left behind for everyone to see. Let’s remember that progress cannot be achieved by followers who believe in standing still and accepting the status quo; it is achieved by leaders who believe in making themselves, the people around them, and the world better than before.
