“Never waste your time. Always be prepared for the days of necessity.” -Johora Papri
Keep this in mind when you find yourself with free time on your hands. Every minute that you have is precious, so you want to use your time wisely for when tough times may come up. When you choose to waste you time, you waste money, opportunity, ideas, and a lot of other things that can be of benefit to you when such times come, but now they are not there because you wasted the chance to acquire them.
In watching the video, The Ant and the Grasshopper, it reminds me of my wife and I. I do find myself as the ant who uses every minute to find ways to plan, acquire, and make things happen in anticipation for whatever life brings. My wife, the grasshopper, will take frequent breaks and do not feel the need of preparing and storing for anything. The beauty of our relationship is the fact that whenever my wife is not prepared, I am prepared for the both of us.
I encourage you that in the event that you do not have an ant to rely on in your life, be the ant and prepare yourself. Prepare yourself through using your time to think, plan, and act so that you can acquire the things you need to get you through the good and bad times. Let’s remember that you cannot be the grasshopper and expect to be prepared wasting time; you must be the ant and use your time wisely.
